I don't want a traditional wedding dance. Can I learn something different?

At The Secret Garden of Dance Online, we believe your first dance should reflect who you are as a couple. That’s why all of our wedding dance lessons are completely personalised. You're welcome to choose any dance style you like. We teach over 60+ styles, from classic ballroom to contemporary and cultural dances.

We don't want to look stiff and awkward.

No matter your experience level or how simple or advanced you want your routine to be, our goal is always the same: to help you feel confident, comfortable, and connected. Our expert instructors will guide you every step of the way so you can relax, stay present, and enjoy your moment together.

Packages

I don't know how many lessons I will need.

Not sure how many lessons you’ll need? No problem! You’re welcome to start with a smaller wedding dance package and add more lessons as you go. Our flexible approach means we adapt to your pace and preferences.

Music

Do you offer music editing?

Want to shorten your song or create a mash-up? We’ve got you covered. Every dance package includes free music editing, so we can adjust your track to the perfect length and style for your choreography.

We don't know what song to choose.

If you haven’t found your perfect first dance song yet, we’re happy to help. We’ll work with you to select a song that matches your personalities, theme, and preferred dance style.

Experience

Do I need to have any dance experience?

We specialise in teaching absolute beginners. Most of our students come to us with no prior dance experience, and that’s completely okay! We’ve developed a variety of teaching methods to suit different learning styles, making your dance lessons easy, fun, and stress-free.

With years of experience working with absolute beginners, we’ve developed a variety of proven teaching techniques to suit different learning styles. Our goal is to make learning your wedding dance simple, stress-free, and enjoyable. No matter your background, we’ll help you feel confident and prepared for your big moment.

Clothing & Attire

What should I wear?

In the beginning, wear comfortable clothing and shoes that allow you to move freely. Closer to your wedding date, we recommend bringing the shoes or similar attire you’ll wear on the big day — especially if you're dancing in a gown or formal outfit. We’ll make sure your choreography works beautifully with your outfit.

My wedding dress is difficult to move in.

Our choreography takes your wedding dress or outfit into full consideration. Whether you're wearing a gown, suit, or cultural attire, we make any necessary adjustments to ensure you can move comfortably and confidently during your first dance.

Bookings & Availability

Our work schedules change often. Is this a problem?

We offer lessons Monday to Sunday, with daytime and evening sessions available. You’re free to book as often as you’d like, based on your schedule.

Location

Which area do you service for your In-Home dance lessons?

We offer in-home wedding dance lessons in Melbourne and can also accommodate couples on the outskirts or nearby suburbs. If you're unsure whether we can travel to you, just get in touch - we're happy to arrange something that works.
